First-run movies & Theatre Stage Productions are Easy to Find in the Ajijic, Lake Chapala Area
Nearby Guadalajara features many theaters and concert venues. Perhaps the most noteworthy is Teatro Degollado, a neoclassical Mexican theater known for its diverse performances and artistic design.

Lakeside Little Theatre
Lakeside Little Theatre is a self-sustaining, not-for-profit organization, providing Theatre Arts to Lakeside residents.

Since its inception in 1965, with the exception of gardeners, bartenders and maintenance workers, all officers and staff are volunteers, and each production is directed, staffed and performed by volunteers.
Now proudly in their 57th Season, the Lakeside Little Theatre is the oldest English-speaking theater in Mexico. Unless otherwise specified, tickets to individual performances are $250 pesos; season tickets are also available. Many retired people here were show-business professionals, but can´t keep the greasepaint out of their veins. They continue to perform, direct or work backstage, thus passing their knowledge along to others.
Show times are evenings at 7:30 pm, except for matinees at 4:00 pm on the first Saturday, and both Sundays.
There is no show on the Monday after opening night. Reminder: Opening night is Friday.
Season tickets are 1300 pesos (cuota de recuperación). A Season Ticket includes a reserved seat at each of the six Mainstage shows. Season Ticket holders are automatically members of the theatre.
Individual show tickets are $300 pesos each, with the exception of the musical, which is $350 pesos.

There are two excellent multi-screen movie theaters in the Ajijic area. Both show first run movies in English (with Spanish subtitles).
